The forces practiced a scenario in which there were three terror attacks along Israel's borders. The scenarios involved dozens of deaths, hundreds of wounded, terrorists' taking over population centers and more.
A senior officer said that the exercise had been planned in the course of a year but its timing came as a surprise to the forces involved. The IDF Chief of Staff, his deputy and other top generals also rehearsed various scenarios.
The exercise involved thousands of soldiers, police, Shin Bet and Mossad agents. The forces that took part in the exercise operated well, according to an initial analysis.
