"He's given a few years of his life to get to this," said Merna Bennett, on the night that her son, Naftali Bennett, found out he would be the Jewish Home party's new chairman, after winning the primaries with almost 70% of the vote.

The parents of Bennett expressed overwhelming joy, pride and excitement over their son's victory on the night that he delivered his speech, during which he said, "If there is anyone who still thinks that religious Zionism has finished its historical role, that it is not relevant ...... Today is his answer.”

HIs parents seemed to echo that sentiment. "I hope he can make Israel an even better place than it already is," said his mother.
