Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu blamed Iran for the attacks Monday against Israeli personnel and institutions in India and Georgia. “Iran, the largest exporter of terrorism in the world,” along with its client Hizbullah, were behind the attacks, Netanyahu said in a press conference after an Israeli diplomat's wife was injured when an assailant planted a bomb on her car in New Delhi, and security forces in Tbilisi, Georgia, thwarted another attack when they defused a bomb near the Israeli embassy.

Netanyahu said that Israel had thwarted similar attacks in the past several months, including in Azerbaijan and Thailand. “In each instance we succeeded in foiling the attacks in cooperation with local authorities,” the Prime Minister said. “Iran and its proxy Hezbollah were behind all of these attempted attacks.”

Netanyahu said that Israel would take all actions to prevent future attacks. “Today we have witnessed two additional attempted terrorist attacks on innocent civilians, the first against an Israeli woman who was wounded in New Delhi and the second against a local employee of the Israeli Embassy in Georgia.” Israel would continue to to take strong and systematic, yet patient, action against the international terrorism that originates in Iran,” Netanyahu added.

Earlier, Foreign Minister Avigdor Lieberman said that Israel knew who had carried out the attacks, although he refrained from naming Iran. "The citizens and the state of Israel are targets of terror. We know who carried out the terror attacks and who is behind the attacks. We will not go back to business as scheduled,” Lieberman said.
