A 62-year-old woman has become the second victim to lose her life as a result of the weekend's rocket fire on Be'er Sheva.

Varda Nachmias heard the Color Red air raid siren at 8:30 a.m. Sunday morning and raced to the bomb shelter, but tripped on the way. She injured her neck in the process.

Nachmias was admitted to the neurology department of Soroka Medical Center in Be'er Sheva but her condition over the past two days, and this morning (Wednesday) she passed away.

Local sources said Nachmias is the aunt of Rabbi Yoram HaKohen, the rabbi of the Ramot neighborhood in the city.

Hundreds were treated for severe anxiety and hundreds of heart patients suffered over the past several days as a result of the missile attacks. However, these victims were not included in media reports of casualties that directly resulted from rocket fire.

Varda Nachmias will be laid to rest today at 4:00 p.m. In the Be'er Sheva cemetery.

A 20-year-old girl who was critically injured in Saturday night's missile attacks, meanwhile, has miraculously improved. She reportedly has regained consciousness and is now breathing on her own, according to hospital sources.
