An Israeli firm, 3DTVision, has come up with a way to create and display 3D content that does not require the viewer to wear 3D glasses. According to David Ohayon the firm’s founder and CEO, the technique is similar to the 3D that requires glasses in that two images are displayed – one for each eye to see.

However, there is no need for the glasses: the human brain does the work of ‘deciding’ which eye sees which image.

The firm also makes laptops with screens that can toggle from 2D to 3D display – the first such laptop in the world, according to Ohayon.
