Over 500 people are confirmed dead, with thousands of injured, in both Turkey and Syria following a devastating earthquake whose epicenter was in southern Turkey near the Syrian border and which measured 7.8 on the Richter scale.
According to the United States Geological Survey, as many as 10 thousand people could have lost their lives in an earthquake of such strength.
