The Jerusalem Municipality is responding to reports that the cameras it placed at the entrance to the city were not working at the time of the combined attack this morning (Wednesday).
"All the municipality's cameras were working and their footage was handed over to the police in the morning. The municipality's cameras are not aimed at bus stops, neither at the Ramot junction nor at the entrance to the city, as is true for all parts of the city."
"The Jerusalem Municipality and the Jerusalem Traffic Management Center place cameras in the public space to maintain the safety of residents (in recreation areas, parks and public gardens) and at central intersections for traffic management purposes. The municipality does not have cameras aimed at bus stops," the municipality said.
