A sharp attack was directed by a senior member of Likud against the chairman of Religious Zionism, Bezalel Smotrich, "He demands four committees out of 11 that the coalition has, he wants Finance, Settlement, and Immigration and absorption. He wants to take other offices and remove responsibilities from them.

He wants to appoint the head of the conversion system that the prime minister threw out, he wants to appoint the head of the religious education directorate, wants to remove powers from the Education Ministry. He has delusional demands, nothing ideological. These are not demands of a person who wants to enter the coalition."

An official in Religious Zionism responded, "The situation calls for forming a government immediately and not arguing with the media."
