A 15-year-old Arab boy from the Beit Hanina neighborhood of Jerusalem was arrested on suspicion of telling social workers at the educational institution where he is living that he planned to carry out an attack against soldiers and Jewish civilians.

The instructors reported the suspect's statements to the police and an investigation was opened into the case. The suspect was located and arrested shortly after, telling police of the planned attack.

The suspect will attend a hearing on having his detention extended at the Jerusalem Magistrate's Court this morning so that the investigation can continue.
