IDF forces from the reserve battalion 8106 on Friday morning neutralized two Palestinian Authority Arab terrorists who opened fire in the Judea region, on highway 35.
The terrorists arrived by vehicle at the Hazayit Junction checkpoint, and began firing towards the soldiers, who returned fire, eliminating the terrorists.
None of the soldiers were injured.
A large security force is now at the scene.
On Thursday, Corporal Avraham Fetena, aged 20, from Haifa, was killed in a shooting attack at the checkpoint on the "tunnel highway" between Jerusalem and Gush Etzion. The terror attack, carried out by a group of three terrorists from Hebron, left five additional individuals wounded.
