The heat wave which has affected Israel for the past several days is showing no sign of breaking.

The peak of the wave is expected to hit on Monday, with heavy to extreme heat throughout Israel, including in the mountains. Humidity in the lowlands and along the coastline will exacerbate the heat significantly, creating a feeling that temperatures are higher than they actually are.

On Tuesday the heat will lighten somewhat, but temperatures will remain higher than usual inland and in the mountains and it will be muggy along the coastline. The heat will feel heavy throughout most of Israel.

Wednesday will see the heat wave continue, with temperatures higher than seasonal average inland and in the mountains, and humidity along the coastline. Heavy heat will be felt in most areas of Israel.

Thursday will see higher temperatures than usual inland and in the mountains, and the weather will be muggy along the coastline. The heavy heat will continue to be felt in most areas of the country. In the mountains, the heat will be moderate to heavy, and along the coastline, in the lowlands, and the northern Negev, the northern valleys, the Jordan Valley, Dead Sea, and Arava regions, the heat will be heavy to extreme.
