Binyamin Regional Council Governor Israel Ganz was a guest at the American Independence Day party hosted by US Ambassador to Israel Thomas Nides yesterday (Monday). The two men exchanged a few words about the current security situation. Ganz told the ambassador how much he appreciates America’s support for the State of Israel and said he hopes their political differences will be resolved for the best.
Ganz relayed best wishes to the American people on behalf of the Jewish towns in Judea and Samaria, explaining that this is “a special greeting from the Jewish People, which has returned to the Land of Israel after long years of exile, and which is now fulfilling the vision of the prophets and the Bible. We hope that the American people will increase justice and true peace in the whole world.”
Ganz attended the gathering accompanied by the Binyamin Council Director of International Relations Eliana Passentin, and together they invited Ambassador Nides to visit Binyamin.
The invitation is notable given the Biden Administration's antipathy to all Jewish settlements in Judea and Samaria. Ambassador Nides has a policy of not crossing the so-called 'green line' except to pay condolence visits to the families of victims of terrorism.
