Dr. Ephraim Herrera, an expert on Islam, told Arutz Sheva that the writing was on the wall with respect to this week's terrorist attacks in Brussels.
“The attacks were predictable, because in August of 2015, the Islamic State (ISIS) published a video on the internet, in which it said, 'This is not a threat of empty words. This is a declaration of war, and the programs are ready. We will hit any place in Belgium – libraries, hospitals, schools, shopping centers, night clubs – any place in which infidels could be found,'” Herrera said Thursday.
The Europeans, he continued, “should not be surprised by these attacks”, and “has to understand that we are living now in a religious war declared by the Islamic State and the Muslim Brotherhood.”
ISIS, warned Herrera, wants to take over Europe by coercion through violent attacks.
The difference between Al-Qaeda and ISIS, he continued, is that Al-Qaeda wanted to warn the world not to attack in Muslim countries.
ISIS, on the other hand, “wants a political domination of the world by Islam, through coercion, through violence,” added Herrera.
