A 28-year-old man was arrested while trying to enter a hotel near Disneyland Paris, after two guns were found in his bag along with a Koran.

His bag set off the X-ray machine at Hotel New York, according to French radio. No one was wounded in the incident.

Later a woman said to be his partner was detained at Disneyland, reports Associated Press.

Police said the man had two weapons, one of them an automatic handgun, along with a box of bullets and a Koran.

A police source told Reuters that the man was European, and confirmed that a woman who was with him had also been arrested. The man does not appear to have a criminal past.

He reportedly was trying to make a reservation at the hotel.

Disneyland Paris remained open despite the incident. The park is 18 miles east of Paris, and is the most visited theme park in Europe.

France continues to be in a state of emergency following attacks last November in which Islamic State (ISIS) terrorists murdered 130 people in the capital in six coordinated attacks.
