The security deterioration we are experiencing in recent days has brought many thoughts to the mind of Jay Shapiro.

In his opinion, Israel's mistakes from 1967 are coming back to haunt us. He thinks that Israel's surprise and total victory in the Six Day War was not exploited properly by Israel's leadership and we are living with the results.

According to Shapiro, the rounds of fighting must end in a clear Israeli decision as it produces a balance of terror and weakens Hamas for a long time.
