Smotrich: Dismantle the Civil Administration in Judea and Samaria

'Israelis living in Judea and Samaria are treated like second-class citizens,' says Religious Zionist Party chief.

MK Bezalel Smotrich, chairman of the Religious Zionist Party, spoke today (Sunday) at the Besheva Jerusalem Conference, calling on Gideon Saar and Naftali Bennett to band together to form the next right-wing-government

The time has come, Smotrich says, to do away with the military rule over the Green Line. “We missed a chance to do this under the Trump administration, but we can still manage it under the Biden administration if we are cautious. Whatever happens, though, citizens living in Judea and Samaria cannot go on living in a banana republic of martial law and being treated like fourth-class citizens.”

As for the election campaign, Smotrich added: " Our values cannot be realized by aligning with Lapid, Michaeli, or Horowitz. They can only come from joining a nationalist government, and now is the time for that as well - Netanyahu is scared enough to give up nearly any ministerial position we demand."

Bennett and Saar, he says, need to start being more realistic. "They need to stop looking for adventures and come back to the rest of the right wing block. We have the votes to make an unassailable right-wing majority, if only they would join in.”
