Who stands behind the 'Professionals' party?

Party expected to declare in advance support for candidate receiving most votes in upcoming elections, not ruling out support for Netanyahu.

The Professionals, a new party expected to arise in the run-up to the fourth election, seeks to ensure different COVID-19 management.

Channel 12 News reported the main names on the list include MK Dr. Yifat Shasha Biton, Professor Roni Gamzu, and Moshe Bar Siman Tov.

According to the report, the party is currently in advanced stages of establishment while a lot of money has already been raised for the cause.

It is also said that among the names that the party is talking about so far are Shai Babad, Director General of the Ministry of Finance, Chaim Bibis, Chairman of the Local Government Center, Dr. Yifat Shasha Biton, Professor Roni Gamzu, the former coronavirus commissar, Professor Zeev Rothstein, CEO of Hadassah Hospital, Michal Cohen, who was the Director General of the Ministry of Education, and Ami Palmor, the Director General of the Ministry of Justice.

Another name that came up as part of the party's options is Moshe Bar Siman Tov, who was quick to respond on his Twitter account that "people are scribbling my name onto political organizations. There's a very simple answer to that. I'm not. Period."

MK Shasha Biton also denied: "We witness every day an attempt to attach a connection to me. When I make my decision I will stand before the public and present it in full transparency as I have done so far. There is no connection between me and the organization presented."
