The IDF began its 'Lethal Arrow' exercise Sunday morning. The exercise simulates a multi-front war with a focus on the northern arena and the threat posed by the Hezbollah terrorist organization.

“The aim of the exercise is to improve the IDF’s offensive capabilities at all echelons while implementing the Victory concept and generating new procedures between key headquarters,” the IDF stated.

The exercise involves regular forces and reserve forces operating in cooperation with the air, sea and land forces as well the intelligence, technology, logistics, and cyber defense divisions.

The IDF said that the exercise was planned in advance as part of the training program for 2020 and will last until Thursday afternoon. The exercise has been scaled back due to coronavirus guidelines, but remains the largest exercise of 2020.
