The Likud Youth Movement has joined the demand by Samaria Regional Council Head Yossi Dagan, and is insisting that sovereignty be immediately applied to Judea, Samaria, and the Jordan Valley.

Likud Youth Chairman Moshiko Pasal and outgoing Chairman David Shayin emphasized that they completely oppose recognizing a Palestinian state and that they will not agree to a sovereignty map which leaves Israeli towns in dangerous enclaves.

"Applying sovereignty is imperative at this time," the group wrote in a letter to Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu. "It is demanded by the nation and the party, and this is why the Likud was chosen to lead the country."

They added that coronavirus is threatening Israel, but this does not mean that diplomatic obligations, and obligations to the Land of Israel, should be neglected: "Coronavirus should be managed with full strength, and at the same time, sovereignty must be applied immediately. This is an historic opportunity which will not return."

Dagan thanked the Likud Youth, saying, "This is just the beginning. We feel the tangible disappointment in Netanyahu's silence and the attempt to miss the opportunity to apply sovereignty by using the excuse that we have to manage coronavirus. We will not compromise on the diplomatic sphere, even while we are dealing with the important issue of coronavirus. This is an opportunity which will not return."

Pasal said, "Coronavirus has hit all of us, but it is unthinkable that the diplomatic sphere is to be neglected. Likud Youth expects the Prime Minister to keep his promise, and do the greatest and most important act of the century - applying sovereignty to Judea, Samaria, and the Jordan Valley. I have told Samaria Regional Council Chairman Yossi Dagan that we stand beside him and beside the residents of Judea and Samaria in this important battle."
