MK Yisrael Eichler (United Torah Judaism) strongly criticized the police's conduct in enforcing the closure on the Kiryat Sanz neighborhood of Jerusalem.

Eichler claimed that he went out today (Sunday) to meet with a doctor, and the police refused to let him through even after he said he was going to see a doctor and presented identification proving he was an MK.

Following the incident, Eichler claimed that this was "further proof that animosity towards the haredi community negates the human rights of the haredim and does not differentiate between MKs who have immunity and any other kippah-wearer."

On Friday, Eichler called on the haredi parties to leave the coalition until the lockdowns on haredi neighborhoods are removed.

"I urge the haredi ministers to temporarily resign from the government until the selective lockdowns on the haredi neighborhoods are removed," said MK Eichler. "Only then will Netanyahu understand that the human rights of haredim are not cheap."
