A new poll conducted by the Direct Polls organization examined which leader Israelis consider to be the best choice to lead Israel out of the coronavirus crisis.

Yamina chairman Naftali Bennett received the largest vote of confidence with 34% of respondents naming him as the best choice to solve the crisis. Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu was a distant second at 24%.

Opposition leader Yair Lapid was third with 12%. Alternate Prime Minister Benny Gantz was fourth with just 9%.

Bennett is the only politician to receive a significant amount of support from both the right (42%) and the center-left (24%).

Another poll conducted by the Direct Polls organization found that 50% of Israelis blame Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu for the severity of the second coronavirus wave in Israel,
