Nabil Shaath, an adviser to Palestinian Authority (PA) chairman Mahmoud Abbas, said in a June 30 interview on Russia Today TV that the "collusion" between the US and Israel must be exposed, that the US will lose its "control" of the world within five years, and that Russia, China, and Europe are on the rise.

Shaath also said that the Palestinians will and are ready to confront any “Israeli annexation of Palestinian land” by any means possible. He elaborated that the Palestinians have thus far opted for peaceful economic and diplomatic measures, but that they have the right to use military force, as well.

Shaath’s comments were translated by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI).

"The American collusion [with Israel] is unacceptable and it must be exposed. This, perhaps, points us to a more difficult problem. I am one of the people who predict that within 4-5 years, America will lose its control over the world. It will become one of several powers, along with Russia, China, Europe, and others. Therefore, I believe that we must persevere, unite, and confront [this], because in 4-5 years, Israel [sic] will no longer rule the world, in the way it has ruled it since the collapse of the Soviet Union in 1991,” said Shaath.

“Russia, which is [our] friend and ally, is now rising and growing. Our friend China is an economic, military, and political giant. Europe is growing. Despite Brexit, Europe is still one bloc, and it is friendly towards us. We must not surrender to despair when confronting America and Israel,” he added.

The senior adviser further said, "We will confront [Israeli annexation] using all available means. I have said this before and I am saying it now loud and clear: If Israel acts on its threats, we are ready. We said right from the start that if Israel annexes even a single centimeter of Palestinian land, we will confront it. Our right to confront it is open on all fronts. What more could you possibly want?"

Abbas’ Fatah movement has been described by some as a "moderate" alternative to Hamas, but its charter also calls for terrorism to destroy Israel, and Abbas has openly called for religious war against Jews.

The PA’s official media outlets regularly air incitement against Israel, including Holocaust denial and distortion and even admiration of Adolf Hitler.
