On the eve of July 1, the date on which sovereignty over Judea and Samaria can be applied as stipulated in the coalition agreement between the Likud and Blue and White, the National Union is releasing another video with a historical reminder of what might happen when members of the Likud blindly follow a strong Prime Minister.
The video compares how then-Prime Minister Ariel Sharon passed the Disengagement plan, and how Netanyahu promotes the Trump plan, which could lead to the establishment of a Palestinian state.
National Union Director General Yehuda Wald said, "The hourglass has run out. It's time for sovereignty. We will not accept stuttering because of the United States or Blue and White."
"I hope that the members of the Likud will not blindly follow Netanyahu as they followed Sharon, and will demand that he apply full sovereignty now without a Palestinian state and without any conditions. Don't be like Hanegbi. Be loyal to the path,” added Wald, hinting at comments by Minister Tzachi Hanegbi, who said in a radio interview on Tuesday morning that he supported the Disengagement plan because he did not want to be “the sucker who voted against it".
