A woman severely injured in a vehicular crash two weeks ago has succumbed to her injuries, raising the death toll to five, including four members of a single family, Vos Iz Neias reported Sunday.

On Sunday, Esther Deutsch died, 13 days after a vehicle she and a number of relatives were riding in swerved off the road and slammed into a tree.

Mrs. Deutsch’s husband, Aryeh Shmuel Deutsch was also killed in the accident, along with their daughter, 20-year-old Tzippora. The couple are survived by eight of their children.

The family, Hasidim from New Square, was on their way to a relative’s wedding in Williamsburg when the hired driver apparently swerved the vehicle off the road and into a tree.

The driver and two members of the family were killed, including 42-year-old Aryeh Shmuel Deutsch, and his son-in-law, 22-year-old Shlomo Birnhak.

Six other people were seriously injured in the accident, including Tzippora Deustch, 20, who succumbed to her injuries and passed away a day after the crash.

Shlomo Birnhak’s wife, the daughter of Aryeh Shmuel Deutsch, was among those injured in the accident. A day after the crash, she gave birth to a healthy baby boy.
