France's Eiffel Tower opened again to visitors after its longest closure since World War Two, BBC reported.

The reopening is subject to restrictions, however. The number of visitors will be limited, face coverings required for those over 11, and the tower will be closed above the second floor.

The elevators are still out of use until July 1.

Around seven million people visit the Eiffel Tower each year, according to its website.
