The Trump Plan will first and foremost affect the residents of Judea, Samaria, and the Jordan Valley, and views among the residents themselves are divided.

A survey conducted by Direct Polls released tonight reveals 56.8% support or tend to support the program, while 36.1% oppose or tend to oppose it. 7.1% have not yet decided.

8.8% are confident that the move will result in a Palestinian state, while 35.7% are confident the move will not end with such a state. The rest believe it all depends on who the Prime Minister of Israel is (11.5%) or who the U.S. President will be (18.8%).

35.4% think this is the best possible agreement, another 20.2% think it is a good but not perfect agreement, 9.2% consider it a bad-but-tolerable agreement and 27.6% think it is a bad agreement to be opposed.

"The sample was conducted by Shlomo Filber and Tzuriel Sharon through Direct Polls LTD, from June 4 to June 7, 2020, using a digital system among 1,182 sampled adults (18+) in Israel, residents of Judea, Samaria, and the Jordan Valley only, with a statistical sampling error of 3.1 % + - and 95% probability," said the pollsters.

Following the results of the survey, Efrat Council head Oded Ravivi said the data shows that most settlers understand the one-time opportunity that Israel has to apply Israeli law in Judea and Samaria. They also demonstrate political shrewdness and understanding that the window of opportunity with such a sympathetic U.S. administration is quite narrow and that we must act fast.

"It is clear now that what's best for settlement and the settlers' choice is to adopt the plan, and it seems to us that the representatives of the public on their behalf and in their service should act accordingly and thereby bring about advancement of the program," Ravivi adds.
