Yesha Council Chairman David Elhayani today welcomed the post published by Likud MK Miki Zohar that, Alhayani says, expresses a "change in Prime Minister's position" regarding the Deal of the Century.

Elhayani said: "I was pleased to hear about the change in the Prime Minister's position that the State of Israel will not recognize a Palestinian state in any form. Also, it was made clear at the faction meeting that Trump's outline as it now appears would inevitably lead to establishing a Palestinian state and will not be passed as is written."

Elhayani continued: "This is a huge change in the Prime Minister's position and I welcome it.

"Despite all this, there are other issues in the Trump plan that the Prime Minister hasn't addressed and we haven't yet received answers to. We still demand abolishing the construction freeze in Area C, changing the map to avoid creating territorial contiguity that would set the borders of a Palestinian state in the future and eliminating all enclaves."
