A truck bomb exploding Saturday morning at a security checkpoint in Mogadishu, Somalia, killed at least 90 people.

According to the country's foreign minister, the dead include students and two Turkish nationals.

At least 125 others, including several children, were injured and brought to local hospitals. They included women and children who had been traveling nearby on a bus, Al Jazeera noted.

The site also said that an adviser to Mogadishu's mayor said that the deal toll was "above 90 at the moment."

According to police Captain Mohamed Hussein, the blast targeted a tax collection center during the morning rush hour.

No one has taken responsibility for the attack yet. However, reports say that the Al-Shabaab group, which is related to the Al Qaeda terror organization, has carried out similar attacks several times.
