Likud's MK Gideon Sa'ar will launch his campaign for party primaries on Monday night.

Ahead of Monday's conference, Sa'ar's supporters are hoping that Public Security Minister Gilad Erdan and Knesset Speaker Yuli Edelstein, both of the Likud, will express support for him. However, both Erdan and Edelstein have refrained from stating whether they will support Sa'ar or Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.

Sa'ar's supporters are aware that the two may refrain from officially supporting either candidate.

Currently, Sa'ar's bid for Likud leadership has the support of Likud MKs Etty Atia and Sharren Haskel, as well as Yoav Kisch and Michal Shir Segman. Former Likud MKs Yehuda Glick and Nurit Koren also support Sa'ar.

Former Welfare Minister Haim Katz, who serves as Chairman of the Likud's Central Committee, is expected to attend the gathering, but it is not clear if he will express support for Sa'ar. The Likud expects that Katz will attend due to his role as chairman, but will refrain from supporting either candidate.

Oמ Sunday, however, Katz endorsed Sa'ar.
