About 50 Arab residents of Jerusalem demonstrated Tuesday evening outside Hadassah Hospital on Mount Scopus, where the terrorist who murdered Rina Shnerb is being treated, protesting the Shin Bet methods of interrogation. The crowd chanted Arabic slogans, demanding that the terrorist be released. One protester was arrested.

Samar Mina Salim Arabid was identified as the head of the terror cell which carried out the bombing attack at the Dolev Spring last month, 17-year-old Rina Shnerb.

Arabid was captured, last week together with two other members of his cell. The three terrorists are all members of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine (PFLP) terrorist organization.

Arabid was beaten during his interrogation after the Shin Bet received intelligence that he had an explosive device in his possession in addition to possessing information about the still operating terrorist infrastructure of which he was a part. The Shin Bet said that his interrogation "prevented shooting, bombing, and kidnapping attacks,"

He was severely injured and taken to Hadassah Hospital for treatment.

Hamas political bureau chief Ismail Haniyeh condemned the beating of Arabid and warned yesterday that Israel would "pay the price for its crimes" against prisoners.
