Corporal D., a combat soldier in the Nachshon Battalion of the Kfir Brigade, stood at the Hatmar Shomron junction in Samaria on Wednesday when a terrorist tried to carry out a ramming attack against soldiers and civilians standing at a bus stop.

"I identified a vehicle speeding from the north in our direction. I thought, 'This is probably a terrorist attack.' I immediately shouted to my crew and to the civilians at the station to move aside," the soldier recalled.

The civilians and soldiers standing at the station moved aside, and the terrorist with his vehicle collided head-on with the station. "We responded with fire and neutralized the terrorist. We are very happy that this incident ended without casualties and we hope to continue to do our work efficiently and professionally and to protect the lives of the residents of the area."

No one was injured in the attack. The terrorist who was shot by the IDF soldiers was evacuated to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva in moderate condition.
