Mother of six from Samaria killed in accident

Woman killed last night in accident near Bareket Junction is Sivan Ben Chaim, mother of six from Nofim in Samaria.

Mourning descended upon the community of Nofim in Samaria after the death of Sivan Ben Chaim, a mother of six children, who was killed in a car accident last night near Bareket Junction. Ben Chaim was a kindergarten teacher in the towns of Yakir and Revava.

The Shomron Regional Council said, "The Shomron Regional Council grieved for her premature departure and embraces the family and community in their mourning."

Initial examination of the accident shows one vehicle involved in the accident deviated from its lane and collided with an oncoming vehicle.

An emergency motorcycle medic said: "This was a very serious car accident. In the driver's seat of one of the vehicles a 55-year-old woman was found unconscious and seriously injured. After resuscitation efforts her death was determined.

"The driver of the second car, a man of about 70, was extracted from his vehicle in serious condition and was evacuated to Bailinson Hospital while undergoing life-saving medical treatment when he was unconscious," Buskila added.
