Five people were injured, four seriously and one moderately, in a shooting incident this evening at the Dor Alon gas station near Megiddo junction.
MDA teams summoned to the scene took care of the wounded and evacuated them to Haemek Hospital in Afula.
United Hatzalah volunteer EMT Meir Rosenblum reported from the scene: "Together with other volunteers from United Hatzalah, I treated the injured at the scene. Our team treated four people who were suffering from gunshot wounds. After receiving initial treatment at the scene, the injured were transported to the hospital for continued treatment and care. Due to the nature of the incident, members of the Psychotrauma ad Crisis Response Unit were dispatched to the scene and have begun treating people for stress and emotional shock."
Large police forces are on their way to the scene. Police estimate at this stage that the background to the incident is criminal.
