Suspicious package causes illnesses at Maryland Jewish school

A suspicious package has been blamed for causing a number of people to fall ill at a Jewish school in Maryland, the Baltimore Sun reported.

The package was opened at the the Beth El School in Pikesville, Maryland, Monday afternoon, causing several people to experience “symptoms of illness,” according to police.

HAZMAT crews were dispatched to the school to handle the suspicious package and police are at the scene.

The materials in the package remain unknown.
