Prime Minister Netanyahu's son Yair suggested on Facebook that there could never be peace in Israel until its Arab citizens move of the country.

“There will not be peace here until: 1. All the Jews leave the land of Israel.2. All the Muslims leave the land of Israel. I hope it's the second," wrote Yair on Facebook.

Later, Yair wrote that "do you know where there are no terror attacks? In Iceland and Japan. Coincidentally there’s also no Muslim population there".

The prime minister’s son is known for speaking his mind on social media and has had an adversarial relationship with the Israeli media and the left. Last week, Yair called leftists "traitors" and accused the Israeli left of automatically aligning with Israel's enemies.

"Left-wing organizations financed by foreign governments and hostility, politicians on the left and media people who always support the enemy side and always against the Jewish interest," wrote Netanyahu. "Their hearts are full of contempt the victims of terrorism or the victims of the infiltrators, and on the other hand, their hearts are full of compassion for every Palestinian rioter who is wounded on the Gaza border.

"It's time to tell the simple truth. According to every basic human standard and agreed upon every nationality in history, they are traitors for all intents and purposes," added the prime minister's son.

Last month, he came under fire after penning a scathing Facebook post calling Israeli media personality Ofira Assayag a “crude beast”.

Several weeks earlier, Yair called veteran journalist Amnon Abramovich a "garbage can, stupid, and a Soviet propagandist...the nation of Israel hates him."
