IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Gadi Eizenkot held a general situation assessment with IDF commanders this morning, Thursday.

Eizenkot expressed deep appreciation to IDF soldiers and commanders operating in various sectors.

He noted positively the operational achievements of the forces participating in Operation Northern Shield to expose and neutralize Hezbollah's attack tunnels crossing into the country.

Eizenkot also referred to what he described as "the determination, the commitment to mission, and the fruitful cooperation between the IDF, the Shin Bet security service, and the Israel Police," which led to the liquidation and arrest of the terrorists who perpetrated the shooting attacks at Barkan and the Ofra junction.

"The struggle against terror is an ongoing one, but the message to terror and the terrorists is clear," the Chief of Staff said, adding that efforts to preserve safety and security in Judea and Samaria and other sectors continue at all times.
