Efrat Mayor Oded Revivi addressed the third annual Jerusalem Leaders Summit on Sunday.

Revivi spoke about the large-scale rocket barrage by Hamas terrorists last week, when "no less than 500 missiles" were fired at Israel by terrorists in the Gaza Strip.

"The Israeli government responded to the attack, but only after they took cautions which they believed would comply with the international rule of law," he observed.

He spoke of the controversial cease-fire agreement which followed the rocket barrage. "Israel will do everything in its power to keep that agreement, because we are people that obey the law."

"Yet we know that Hamas will just wait for their opportunity to breach that agreement because they use every cease-fire to prepare themselves for the second round."

The Jerusalem Leaders Summit is a public policy conference founded by Joel Anand Samy and Natasha Sdroc, focusing on trade between Israel.
