Defense Minister Avigdor Liberman met on Wednesday evening in the capital of Georgia, Tblisi, with the country’s Prime Minister, Defense Minister and Foreign Minister.

Upon landing in the country, Liberman was received by an Order of Honor at the Defense Ministry and placed a wreath at Heroes Square.

"The relations between the Jewish and Georgian people are hundreds of years old. There is a flourishing Jewish community here and I am happy about the growing economic cooperation between the two countries. On security cooperation, we defined four main directions: Cyber defense, assistance in setting up a system of reservists, fighting terror and defending the homeland,” Liberman said.

The Defense Minister and his hosts exchanged views on the situation in Iran and the Middle East, and signed a declaration of cooperation between the defense ministries of both countries.
