Education Minister Naftali Bennett spoke to Arutz Sheva at the opening of the school year about his Ministry's goals. "I want to wish all the children, the students, a wonderful and meaningful year."

Bennett defined his goals as "more values, and more tools to succeed in the 21st century. Values of respecting one another, loving and honoring our country, and the tools of creativity, mathematics, English, Hebrew...And I'm very optimistic, the school system is getting better by the day."

During the visit, the Minister said, "Today we opened the school year to 2.3 million children. This is the quietest, most calm and orderly school year beginning in Israel in many years. I can tell the parents of Israel: Your children are in good hands."

Bennett himself today sent his own child David to first grade, an event he emotionally said would be their "last time".
