Guests at a haredi wedding in Jerusalem's Mondial hall were shocked on Wednesday evening upon realizing that Sara Netanyahu, the wife of Prime Minister Netanyahu, was one of the guests.
According to Behadrei Haredim, the bride had worked together with Sara Netanyahu at one of the Jerusalem schools' in which the Prime Minister's wife works as a child psychologist.
While Sara Netanyahu is known for her prominent role in being the wife of Israel's elected leader, her work as a child psychologist is largely unknown. Netanyahu has worked as a therapist in a variety of Jerusalem schools ever since receiving her license in 1995.
In 2017, the Jerusalem Municipality was forced to report on Sara Netanyahu's employment status as part of a libel lawsuit between the Prime Minister and Ma'ariv journalist Ben Caspit. According to the document, in 2016, Mrs. Netanyahu worked an average of 60 hours a month. As of September 1, 2016, the scope of Netanyahu's position was changed to a part-time job.
