The family of missing soldier Oron Shaul supports the government's decision not to return the bodies of terrorists found after the explosion of the terror tunnel in Gaza last week, but at the same time continues its struggle with the State and the army.

Attorney Yishai Sarid who represents the family told Arutz Sheva that the state's decision regarding the bodies of the terrorists was significant: "The position we presented in the letter we wrote to the State Attorney's Office and submitted to the Supreme Court is that the family opposes the release of the bodies as long as Hamas continues to hold the missing persons and hostages without even providing any information about them.It is also a practical matter of bargaining chips and moral issues, and there is no point in compromising with someone who acts inhumanely and brutally - and, in fact, the choice is the enemy's."

He said that the Shaul family is continuing its struggle to obtain the paperwork and information that led to the declaration of their son as killed in action."Our petition is pending in the Supreme Court, where the Shaul family seeks to receive all the information about Oron's fate. There is a very strange phenomenon - the State and the army keep large portions of the information in their possession hidden - and the family wants to look at it.The mother and brother want to know what happened to Oron. This issue is before the Supreme Court and we are waiting for a decision."

Sarid claims that the declaration of Oron as KIA too hasty: "Oron was declared a KIA whose burial place was unknown fast enough, a few days after the battle in Sajaiya from which he did not return. In our opinion, the procedure was not orderly and serious enough - but at the same time we want to see all the material."

"After we see all the material, we can formulate a position. As long as we are not given all the information or it's classified, there persists a feeling that the system is concealing something. The family is not living with false delusions, but also wants to know the whole truth."

He notes that Oron's mother, Zahava, "feels that she is not getting enough support and that we won't do everything that needs to be done to bring Oron back, this leading her to continue the struggle."
