French Jews march in HevronWorld Zionist Organization

About a thousand French Jews, some of them already scheduled to immigrate to Israel, arrived today, Wednesday, to visit Hevron,

They held a flag parade in the city of the Patriarchs from the Shavei Hevron Yeshiva to the Tomb of the Patriarchs via the Machpelah House.

At a concluding event near the Cave of the Patriarchs, Coalition Chairman David Bitan (Likud), who was present with marchers, said that "the contemptible decision of UNESCO, which completely ignored the historical connection of the Jewish people to the city where our forefathers are buried, emphasizes and reinforces the need and importance of being here.”

He addressed the visitors, saying that “there is nothing more symbolic than addressing those of you who have still not completed your aliyah [immigration] process to Israel to return home, to the one true home for all Jews. True, we can not guarantee absolute security, but there is no safer home for Jews in the whole world. This is your real home. "
