Jewish pop music star Avraham Fried reached out to a wounded IDF veteran of the 2014 Gaza war, Yehuda Yitzhak Hayisraeli, during a recent concert in Jerusalem.

Yehuda Yitzhak Hayisraeli was critically injured in combat during Operation Protective Edge in Gaza in 2014. After suffering a nearly fatal wound to the head during fighting in Rafiah in southern Gaza, Hayisraeli was comatose for months.

Even after he regained consciousness, Hayisraeli was unable to communicate for months, but has made significant progress since.
