State Prosecutor Shai Nitzan on Monday evening addressed the investigations involving Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu.
"As everyone knows, two investigations were opened, both of which are not simple, and the police have been working on them for many months," he said.
He added that "our job is to accompany the investigation. The attorney general is working on it personally. We held dozens of meetings to see the progress of the investigation."
Nitzan estimated that the investigation would not take much longer. "It will not last for just two more days, but it will also not last for many more months."
Last week it was reported that police commissioner Roni Alsheich asked the head of the Intelligence and Investigations Division, Major General Itzhaki, to extend his term in office, in light of the continued investigations against Prime Minister Netanyahu.
