Rabbinical Center of Europe member and London Rabbinical Court Head Rabbi Yisrael Yaakov Lichtenstein spoke to Arutz Sheva on Sunday morning about the city's reaction to Saturday's terror attack, which killed seven people.

"People are shaking with fear in London," Rabbi Lichtenstein said. "There is an increased awareness - everyone is aware. During the past six months, there has been an increase in security around Jewish institutions - synagogues, yeshivas, schools - they are all secured by the government."

"In Israel everyone is aware at all times. Now, British citizens are aware and suspicious of everything. This is the worst situation since our conflict with Ireland. The atmosphere is really difficult. There are completely Muslim areas of London, and as Jews, we never go there.

"London used to be a stable place. Now, it's a dangerous place.

"Despite the terror, we're continuing our lives. The English are a very stubborn people. I don't know if the British will understand Israel better now, but certainly, they won't say that Israel is right to fight terror. The British have always been closer to the Arabs.

"In my opinion, Jews should vote for Theresa May. She's considered to be a great supporter of British Jews. The other candidate, Jeremy Corbyn, has always criticized Israel and supported the Palestinians."
