A "false alarm" air raid siren sounded on Saturday night in northern Tel Aviv and Ramat Hasharon.

After a few minutes, it became clear that the sirens sounded from the Glilot IDF base were the result of a technical error.

According to an IDF spokesman, "The sirens sounded by the Glilot military base alerting Ramat Hasharon were the result of a technical error."

"We are investigating the incident."

Earlier on Saturday at approximately 3:00 p.m., air raid sirens were sounded in the Hof Ashkelon Regional Council.

A short time later, it was reported that no rockets had been fired from Gaza and the siren was a "false alarm."
