United Hatzalah volunteers treated four injured construction workers in Ganei Tikvah after a roof collapsed at a construction site.

MDA teams provided medical treatment and evacuated a 24-year-old man in moderate to severe condition to Tel Hashomer hospital. A 30-year-old man was moderately injured.

Two other wounded, men in their 30s who were diagnosed lightly injured, were evacuated to Beilinson Hospital in Petah Tikva.

MDA paramedic Harel Hut and senior medic Zohar Eli, who treated the wounded, said: "We arrived with large forces of Magen David Adom to a building site, and there was a lot of commotion. Workers who were there, with the firefighters, rescued the wounded fully conscious from the building.

The police closed the construction site and a representative from the Labor Ministry was there, together with Home Front Command officials. At this stage it is not yet clear what caused the roof to collapse.

Yuval Mizrachi, an EMT first responder and the first EMS serviceman on the scene said "When I arrived at the scene I found four workers who were suffering from a variety of injuries and wounds following the collapse of a roof at the construction site. I called the United Hatzalah dispatcher at 1221 and asked for more volunteers to be sent to the scene. The Fire and Rescue services sent a large force to the area to help evacuate the injured prior the EMS teams being able to treat the injured. After being evacuated and treated on scene the injured were evacuated to Beilinson Hospital for further treatment."
