The Almagor Terror Victims Association welcomed US President Donald Trump's message to Palestinian Authority Chairman Mahmoud Abbas and the President's insistence the PA stop paying terrorists' salaries.

In a protest outside the US Consulate in Jerusalem, demonstrators listened to Trump's speech, and 120 families signed a letter calling on the US President not to declare renewal of peace negotiations until the PA stops paying terrorists who carried out terror attacks against Israeli citizens.

On Monday, Almagor Director Meir Indor and petition initiator Yossi Tzur met with the US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman.

Indor and Tzur asked Friedman to accept the bereaved families' request to stop payments to terrorists, as well as incitement on social media and in Arab schools, immediately and before any negotiations are made.

Friedman, who received the bereaved families' letter last week in Trump's stead, expressed empathy for the families and showed solidarity with them.

"We expect that practical actions will come together with the positive statements," Indor said. "We must find a way to ensure these demands are met, since they are of great importance to Israel's security and that of her citizens."
