An uninvited guest was found in a vacation house swimming pool in northern Israel early Monday morning.

A wild boar entered a vacation house property in Shezor, in the Galilee in northern Israel overnight, and apparently slipped and fell into a swimming pool.

Local police were notified of the four-legged trespasser, and with the help of a fire and rescue team, managed to remove the beast from the pool.

Police say rescuing the boar was no simple task, noting that the animal was terrified and officers could not approach it during the rescue operation. Instead, the officers used rope to pull the creature towards the side of the pool, and then up from the water and back out of the Moshav.

The rescue took more than an hour, police say.
