Nearly 1,600 men, women, and children from all sectors of Jewish society participated on Monday in an event organized by the "CHAZAQ organization.

Participating in the New York event were Migdal Haemek Rabbi Dovid Grossman, who gave a heartfelt speech.

The CHAZAQ annual event aims to gather all of New York's Jews for a "unity" event in support of the State of Israel.

"What brings me here, as a believing Jew, is that the spirit of G-d rests on His children," Rabbi Grossman said. "Any act which causes His children to come closer to Him, is something we should do."

CHAZAQ Director Rabbi Ilan Meirov said, "Once a year, we at CHAZAQ bring all Jews together: Ashkenazic Jews, Sephardic Jews, secular Jews, and religious Jews. We all get together for a unifying event which strengthens our Torah and our love of Israel."
